HOUSE OF ERMIAS

Brand & environmental design for a modern retail/art gallery space.

Work done as Elizabeth & James Design.

Physical Space Design

When translating the brand into physical space we wanted to keep a mix of geometric and organic shapes and continued to play with biometric forms. Like our logo we wanted statement pieces that had volume with accents that had line-work qualities to keep a sense of airiness.

The first floor of the space is dedicated to retail while the basement has a flexible program allowing for a range of events to be hosted.

Moodboards & Initial Directions

After a foundational branding exercise, we used a word bank of client-selected look and feel descriptors to develop three initial directions for the brand.

Logo Development

After narrowing down our moodboards and preliminary concepts, we continued to develop variations, focusing on bold colors, playing with perspective, and leaning into a modern art gallery feel.
